Povzetek
Dijake ob vstopu v srednješolsko izobraževanje pogosto preseneti velika količina snovi in hitrost, s katero naj bi novo znanje usvojili. V tem prehodnem obdobju je za dijake nujno potrebno, da se spoznajo z učnimi strategijami in glede na svoj osebni učni stil izberejo najučinkovitejše strategije učenja. V prispevku so predstavljene učne strategije, ki jih najpogosteje uporabljamo pri učenju geografije, kjer dijaki v skladu z evropskimi smernicami razvijanja vseživljenjske kompetence učenje učenja razvijajo veščine samostojnega, discipliniranega in zavestnega učenja, kritičnega mišljenja in vzdržujejo motivacijo in zaupanje v lastno sposobnost glede uspešnega učenja.
Abstract
Learning Geography to Develop Key Competences
When students enter secondary school, they are often surprised by the large amount of material and the speed with which they are expected to learn. It is absolutely essential in this transition period that students learn about the different learning strategies and choose the most effective ones based on their personal learning style. The article describes most commonly used learning strategies in geography classes, where students develop, based on the European guidelines for developing the lifelong competences of learning to learn, the skills of autonomous, disciplined and conscious learning, critical thinking, motivation and confidence in their own abilities to learn successfully.
