Natančneje smo predstavili vsebine spletne in mobilne različice Google Earth, aplikacije Locus Map, spletne strani in aplikacije Seterra ter spletne strani d-maps.
Abstract
Using Selected Web Content and Applications in Teaching Geography in Primary and Secondary School
This article describes in detail several applications and web content that can be used to teach geography in primary and secondary school. Teachers apply information and communication technology (ICT) in the classroom as e-learning and mobile learning, both of which have been gaining popularity. This trend was most discernible during distance education at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic when ICT was an absolute necessity. This article provides several examples of applications and web content that we have found practical for teaching geography and a closer look at four of them. The article presents the content of Google Earth‘s web and mobile versions, the Locus Map application, the Seterra website and application, and the d-maps website in more detail. Some are also convenient for use in the field, while others are useful for leisure or nonformal education. Students not only achieve specific operational learning objectives and the general learning objectives of the geography curriculum by using these applications and web content, but they also develop digital competencies and digital literacy.
