Povzetek
Z razvojem informacijske tehnologije so družbena omrežja postala del našega vsakdanjega življenja, še posebej pri mladostnikih, ki so največji uporabniki socialnih omrežij. V tem obdobju so prijateljski in vrstniški odnosi zelo pomembni za kakovost mladostnikovega življenja. S širitvijo uporabe spletnih omrežij se je pojavil nov koncept – spletno prijateljstvo. V raziskavi smo želeli ugotoviti, v kakšnem odnosu sta kakovost in obseg nespletnih in spletnih prijateljstev, kako so ta prijateljstva povezana s socialno sprejetostjo ter socialno in čustveno samopodobo pri mladostnikih. Raziskava je bila izvedena na 336 učencih 8. in 9. razreda, v njej pa smo prišli do zanimivih in uporabnih ugotovitev tako za teorijo kot za prakso.
Abstract
Online and Offline Friendship – Two Sides of the Same Coin?
With the development of information technology, social networks have become a part of our daily lives, especially among adolescents who are the principal users of social networks. During adolescence, friendly and peer relations are very important for the quality of an adolescent’s life. As the use of online networks grew, a new concept emerged – online friendship. The survey aims to fi nd out the relation between the quality and scope of offl ine and online friendships, and how these friendships correlate with social acceptance and with the social and emotional self-image of adolescents. The survey was conducted on a sample of 336 pupils of the 8th and 9th grades and has yielded interesting fi ndings that are useful for both theory and practice.
