Povzetek

Agenda ukrepov za trajnostni razvoj navaja cilje trajnostnega razvoja na na videz zelo različnih področjih. Če nanje pogledamo skozi prizadevanja, cilje in namene izobraževalnega sistema in se osredotočimo na njihovo povezanost z življenjem mladih, ugotovimo, da jim je skupno, da je za doseganje katerega koli od njih potrebna večja razgledanost med vsemi ljudmi sveta. Z večjo razgledanostjo in poznavanjem problemov sedanje družbe in narave bodo predvsem mladi lahko učinkovito opravili svoje naloge, ki jih predvidevajo zastavljeni cilji. V prispevku bomo pregledali in kritično ovrednotili informacije, ki jih o pogojih za izvajanje aktivnosti za doseganje trajnostnega razvoja ter kazalce trenutnega stanja problematike v povezavi z ugotovitvami agende za trajnostni razvoj kažejo podatki iz primerljivih mednarodnih raziskav s področja naravoslovnega znanja in okoliščin za njegovo pridobivanje.

Abstract

Viewing Sustainable Development Goals through the International Knowledge and Learning Study TIMSS

The Agenda for Sustainable Development lists sustainable development goals in seemingly very different areas. If we look at them through the efforts, objectives and purposes of the education system and focus on their connection with young people’s lives, we realize that what all of these goals have in common is the requirement that people throughout the world need to become more knowledgeable in order to achieve them. By becoming more knowledgeable and aware of the current problems in society and nature, young people in particular will be able to efficiently perform the tasks envisaged by the set goals. The paper will review and critically evaluate information about the conditions for implementing activities for achieving sustainable development and the indicators of the current situation in relation to the findings of the Agenda for Sustainable Development, as indicated by data from comparable international studies in the field of science knowledge and the circumstances for its acquisition.
