Samorefleksija o lastnem napredku in načrtovanje profesionalnega razvoja mu omogočata uvajanje sprememb v poučevalno prakso in s tem pozitivne učinke na učenje in dosežke učencev.
Abstract
Class Management Based on Formative Assessment Principles
2018/19 Classroom Teachers Study Meetings
We are living in a world of constant change. Some might even say that change is the only constant in our everyday lives. This way of living requires constant adaptation, self-reflection and searching for answers to questions such as »Where have I begun?«, »Where am I now?« and »Where do I want to be?« The same is true for teachers in their professional activities. Self-reflecting on one’s own progress and planning professional development allow them to implement changes in their teaching, thus positively affecting students’ learning and their achievements. One of the opportunities for teacher’s professional growth and additional education comes in the form of teacher study meetings organised every year by the National Education Institute Slovenia for all classroom teachers. This year’s classroom teachers study meetings took place October through November 2018 at 30 locations across Slovenia and were attended by more than 2500 teachers, both male and female. The main topic was Class Management Based on Formative Assessment Principles introducing the views and tools to implement change. The article includes a summary of the content and an evaluation of the meetings’ execution.
