Izvleček
Ob spreminjanju učne prakse, sledenju sodobnejšim načinom učenja in poučevanja pogosto naletimo na izziv primernosti učnih okolij in učnih gradiv. Ustvarjanje lastnih učnih gradiv s t. i. karticami omogoča učitelju poučevanje skozi preiskovanje, hitro prilagajanje težavnosti nalog, spreminjanje razredne klime. Učitelj pridobi vpogled v učenčeva razmišljanja in razumevanja. Učenci lahko izbirajo naloge glede na zastavljene kriterije uspešnosti, samovrednotijo svoje znanje, dobijo takojšnjo povratno informacijo, učijo se preko igre, preko preiskovanja, z učiteljem razvijajo strokovne pogovore. Učenci se med učenjem gibajo, kar še dodatno spodbuja delovanje njihovih možganov.
Abstract
Using Flashcards to Boost Motivation and Learning
As educators change teaching methods to pursue more modern educational styles, we are often challenged by the appropriateness of learning environments and didactic materials. Our own materials, such as flashcards, enable us to teach through inquiry, instantly adjust task complexity, and change the classroom atmosphere. We gain insight into the students’ reasoning and comprehension. Students can choose tasks according to performance criteria, self-evaluate their knowledge, get immediate feedback, learn through play and investigation, and develop professional conversations with the teacher. They can move around while learning, which further stimulates their brain function.
